Mother’s Day at Sapling Ridge was so special. It started with breakfast cooked and served by the Men’s Group. The tables were loaded with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes. biscuits, gravy, fruit and pastries. The tables were decorated with fresh flowers. By the end of breakfast, there were a lot of empty serving platters.
Thank you to the men for honoring mothers and the women who mother us.
After breakfast and Sunday School, we had a wonderful worship. The choir sang “Faith of our Mothers”, so appropriate for the day.
During worship, welcomed Chris and Cayson to the Family of God through baptism and we welcomed Josh to the Sapling Ridge family by transfer of membership. After the Benediction, we went outside because Chris and Cayson requested baptism by immersion. It was lightly raining and Jason said that God was just adding to the water they would use. It was a precious sight to see father and son affirm their faith in God this way.
