Siler City GMC District Meeting, 3/29/2026

What a wonderful thing to be able to meet with other GMC churches in the Siler City District. We met at Piney Grove GMC and had people from all the other GMC churches in the area.

Rev. Linda, our Presiding Elder for the District and pastor of Meroney and West End GMCs, brought news from the National Conference and the NC Conference. Rev. Kerry from Goldston GMC, and his wife will be traveling to Johannesburg, South Africa to help with General Conference in August. Let’s remember to hold them in prayer. Linda shared that there is a lot of legislation to be voted on.

Pastor Andreas, the pastor of Piney Grove, welcomed us and led the worship. The music was fantastic with piano and trumpet.

Pastor Kerry shared the message. He shared the scripture from Luke 19, about the rocks crying out. He shared stories of how we can go from the highs and then to the very lows. Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem was a high that later that week led to his crucifixion, the lowest of lows. He shared a very personal story about his son, who walked away from his faith. Remember to hold Kerry and their family in prayer and for the son to return to faith in Jesus.

We celebrated Holy Communion in a holy moment.

And after the Holy Meal, we feasted in the Fellowship Hall. All the tables were beautifully decorated for Easter. Piney Grove served a wonderful meal of spaghetti, salad and bread . For dessert they treated us to homemade pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Very yummy all around.

Watch for the date of the next meeting and join the body of believers in worship and celebration.
