Sapling Ridge was privileged to host our Annual Charge Conference, with our Presiding Elder, Rev Linda Yow, leading. We joined with Mount Vernon and reviewed what our charge has accomplished since our last Charge Conference. Rev Yow said it was a time of celebration for all the good reports. However, we can’t stop now.
Verbal reports were given and the Officers for 2027 were confirmed.
Pastor Jadon challenged us with the saying he learned at Asbury Theological: Long Obedience in the Same Direction. There are things that Mount Vernon need to work on and some things that Sapling Ridge need to work on and then some things we need to work on together. And if we submit ourselves to God’s plan and vision, we cannot fail. Our vision needs to be God’s vision.
We ended Worship with Holy Communion and then enjoyed food and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall.
