The NC GMC Annual Conference, held in Winston Salem in June, invited attendees to bring gently used Bibles to be shared to those in need. The Conference shared a photo of a Bible used by 7 churches in Uganda.
Our church has a donation of Bibles, New Testaments and money (to purchase non English Bibles). We were not able to get them to Winston Salem, but the Conference is designating drop off points for churches to use.
The report from Conference was collection of 2,956 Bibles for Uganda with more coming in. There was a goal to raise $15,000 to purchase non English Bibles and the grand total was $32,611.32.
