NCGMC Siler City District Worship, 8/31/25

We had a wonderful worship time at Meroney GMC. Linda, the minister at Meroney and the Siler City District Lead Presiding Elder, led the district meeting and the other clergy of our district assisted.

Our opening hymn was “How Firm a Foundation”. The voices of the faithful was like a piece of heaven.

We heard wonderful news that there will be a new GMC in Cameron, NC in the near future. God is good! The building was previously a UMC that was closed and sold. The people who bought the property is reopening the church as a GMC. Let us pray for them as they step forward in Scriptural Holiness!

Rev. Barry Drum, the new minister from Buckhorn GMC, shared the sermon. He left the UMC and then lost his college chaplain job. The theme of his sermon was “God is doing new thing”. He shared stories of how the GMC is seeing miracles of new faith all over the world.

Then we closed with communion.

After being fed spiritually, the church members fed us physically. And feed us they did. The food was wonderful.

Mark your calendars for the next 5th Sunday and plan to attend. It is wonderful to be with other like minded Christians.
