We have a lot of church family that are also Silk Hope Ruritan members. Once a year, we cater the dinner for one of their meetings. It is nice to have an inside person (or persons) to help plan the menu so that we can do something different and give the Ruritans a variety.
This year was baked spaghetti casserole with tossed salad and garlic bread. And, of course, the table of goodies, also known as dessert.
The tables were laden with food, but only for a short time. When the Ruritans had their share, we had some spaghetti left over and was able to send some to go boxes home for some. Everyone was so complimentary of the food.
Thank you to all who provided food or provided hands to serve and clean up. Thank you to our church family who are also Ruritans for helping out, even though you should have been off duty from church function and on duty for Ruritan work.
